In Human Design, Ra Uru Hu described Profile as your costume in the grand theater of life. Profile doesn't indicate what you do, its more about how you move. It's how you show up in the world. It's how the world perceives you.
There are 12 different profiles in Human Design, each one carries a distinct frequency. It’s not a choice. You don’t grow into a different one. Your profile is fixed and deeply personal to you and your design.
Each profile is made up of two numbers, like 1/3 or 5/2.
The first number is pulled from your Personality Sun/Earth, which are the two numbers at the top of the right-hand column on your chart. They are the your conscious lines, or the aspects you are aware of.
The second number is pulled from your Design Sun/Earth, which are the top two numbers on the left-hand column of your chart. These are the aspects that others may see in you before you recognize it within yourself.
Together, these lines create a lens through which your energy operates; how you relate to others, how you process experiences, and how you step into your natural authority.
Understanding your profile gives insight into:

The 12 Human Design Profiles
There are 12 Human Design profiles, each with its own unique combination of conscious and unconscious lines.
They fall into four general line families:

1-Line: The Investigator - seeking foundations

2-Line: The Hermit - natural talents

3-Line: The Martyr - learning through trial & error

4-Line: The Opportunist - building relationships

5-Line: The Heretic - leading, solving problems, and handling projection

6-Line: The Role Model - maturing in stages and embodying wisdom
Each profile combines two of these lines to create a unique dynamic. Here’s a quick overview:
